How it works

Three steps, no guesswork

A simple path from your first call to habits you can actually keep using.

1

Tell us where you are

A free 20-minute intro call. We listen to how you two handle decisions, money, family and disagreement — no forms to fill in first.

2

Get your working plan

We map your specific friction points into a short written plan — what to practise, in what order, and how you will know it is helping.

3

Practise together

Weekly sessions with small, concrete exercises between them. We adjust as you go — nothing is fixed in advance for the whole programme.

What changes

What you get — and what you might be wondering

  • A shared vocabulary for hard topics

You stop re-explaining what you meant and start talking about the actual thing.

  • Clear roles without rigid rules

Who handles what, and how to renegotiate when life shifts — without it feeling like a scoreboard.

  • Scripts for the recurring argument

Practical wording for the conversation you have had eleven times already, in slightly different words.

  • A written plan you keep

Session notes and a one-page summary you can return to months later, long after the programme ends.

  • Time that is actually yours

Sixty focused minutes a week, away from chores and notifications, on the relationship itself.

From practice

Three situations we see often

Anonymised examples. Numbers describe what couples reported in follow-up conversations, not a promise of what will happen for you.

Situation

Two careers, one calendar

What we did: mapped weekly responsibilities onto a shared board and practised a ten-minute Sunday review.

What changed: the couple reported 3 fewer scheduling arguments per month after eight sessions.

Situation

The in-law question

What we did: worked through a boundary-setting script and rehearsed it in two role-play sessions.

What changed: the couple reported holding one clear conversation instead of five circular ones.

Situation

Silence after disagreement

What we did: introduced a pause-and-return routine with an agreed time limit on cooling off.

What changed: the couple reported their longest silence dropping from 3 days to under a day.

Examples from practice. Every relationship is different — results vary and are not guaranteed.

In their words

What couples say afterwards

  • Elena R.
Married 2 years · Portland, OR

We booked because we kept having the same argument about whose family we visit. Six weeks later we still disagree, but we get through it in one evening instead of a whole week.

  • Marcus & Priya D.
Married 3 years · Vancouver, WA

I was the sceptical one. The intro call was practical, not touchy-feely, and that won me over. The weekly exercises are small enough that we actually do them.

  • Jonah W.
Married 1 year · Beaverton, OR

Having the notes written up after each session mattered more than I expected. We reread them before a hard conversation and it keeps us on track.

  • Sofia M.
Married 4 years · Lake Oswego, OR

We came in assuming we needed to change big things. It turned out we mostly needed a better way to say small things. That reframing was worth the fee alone.

  • Dana & Chris L.
Married 5 years · Hillsboro, OR

Evening slots made it possible with two jobs. We used the six-month check-in and it caught a drift we had not noticed. Genuinely useful follow-up.

Questions

Things people ask before booking

No. Our sessions are educational coaching, not therapy or medical treatment. We work on communication habits, roles and expectations for couples who are not in crisis. If something in your situation needs clinical support, we will say so openly and point you toward a licensed professional in your area.

Most sessions work best with both partners present, and that is how we plan the programme. That said, life happens. If one of you travels or works late, we can run an individual session and bring the notes back to the next joint call so nothing gets lost along the way.

Intro calls are usually available within three to five business days. Once you choose a package, the first full session is typically scheduled in the same week. Evening slots after 6:00 PM Pacific are the first to fill, so earlier booking gives you more choice of times.

It runs about twenty minutes. We ask what brought you here, how you two usually handle disagreements, and what you would like to be different. You get a short honest read on whether our programme fits, and you leave with one or two practical things to try regardless of what you decide.

Yes. Sessions are private and notes are stored in an encrypted client area. We do not record calls, do not share names or details with anyone outside our team, and do not publish anything identifiable. If you ever want your notes deleted, one email is enough and it is done.

You can stop after any session and pay only for what you have used. There is no cancellation fee and no long contract to unwind. We would rather you leave early and honestly than sit through a programme that does not match what you need right now.
